Nestled along Lake Gleneida, Carmel is a rural southern Putnam County town of more than 34,000 residents that includes the hamlets of Carmel and Mahopac. Settled in the 18th century, Carmel is home to the historic Putnam County Courthouse, as well as a statue commemorating Sybil Ludington, Carmel’s version of Paul Revere, who is famous for alerting the people of what is now Carmel of approaching British troops in 1777. Notable current and former residents include Olympic gymnast Sabrina Vega, television news anchor Jim Ryan and late, great WWF wrestler and rubber band enthusiast Captain Lou Albano.

The Hudson Valley disability attorneys at Hermann Law Group, PLLC represent clients in Carmel and throughout the area in claims for Social Security Disability benefits. With more than 50 years of combined experience representing clients in the Social Security Disability claims process, we understand just how debilitating severe physical and mental impairments can be. It’s difficult enough for people suffering from such impairments to perform day-to-day activities, let alone complete and submit a disability claim and follow through what is often a long and complicated process. We want to make the process as easy as possible for you.

Unlike many law firms, at Hermann Law Group, our attorneys meet with clients from the very start and handle the legwork of filing the claim on the client’s behalf. We also gather the necessary medical evidence to support a claim and follow up with the Social Security Administration to ensure it has everything it needs to reach a decision. Unlike so-called “claim representatives,” we are licensed attorneys who can argue your claim both before a Social Security judge and in a federal appeal, if necessary.

We proudly maintain a success rate of over 90% for all decisions received over the past twelve months. We are so confident in our abilities that in Social Security Disability cases, we will not charge you a fee unless we win your case.
